ECFP team member, Susanna Richmond, has been recognised for her extraordinary efforts in enabling impact-related activities in the School of Physics and Astronomy. As Impact Officer, this role can be varied, from encouraging colleagues to pursue Impact-related activities to tracking and reporting on impact generated by the school. Susanna may find herself scouting relevant funding opportunities, liaising with external parties to collect Impact-data, facilitating collaborative projects, analysing large datasets for reporting and writing case studies. It is quite a skillset and ECFP and the School of Physics and Astronomy are very grateful to have her as our own. Therefore, we nominated Susanna for the Impact Enabler Prize 2024 and she has won!
Our Director of Impact at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Dr Davide Michieletto, said “It is exciting to see growing appreciation for translational research quickly spreading within the School of Physics and Astronomy. Susanna is an essential part of this change and we are very lucky to have her in our team.”
The award was presented at the University’s inaugural Impact Festival. This event took place to celebrate the engagement and impact of the University’s research endeavours, and involved colleagues from PhD students to researchers, and technical and professional services staff.
