Job Thijssen

Reader & Board Member

Dr Job Thijssen is an experimental physicist by training, with research experience in soft matter and complex fluids. His research focuses on the physics and applications of soft materials, especially those in which interfaces are crucial and those that have potential for applications in coatings and energy materials. Job is currently a Reader in the School of Physics & Astronomy at The University of Edinburgh, where he teaches experimental physics and supervise undergraduate & PhD research projects. Job has been involved in collaborations on interfaces in energy materials (MISE), on complex-fluids knowledge exchange (ECFP) and on equality, diversity and inclusion in STEM (Evidence Base).
