Jack Ng specialises in the “hard-tech” lifecycle, with a career built on deep-tech entrepreneurship and commercialising complex research. Having co-founded a mechanochemistry startup and led a wearable sensor company through investment and product development, Jack understands what drives technology from lab to market. His technical foundation, a PhD in green-synthesis nano-patterning and a Master’s in liquid crystal templating, informs his expertise in specialty chemicals and ECFP’s mission to replace toxic industrial processes with sustainable, bio-based alternatives.
Jack’s primary strength is his adaptability across disparate regimes. His commercial track record includes managing international sales for quantum sensing, photolithography, and optical materials. This breadth enables rapid technical and commercial orientation; Jack effectively decodes the constraints of a new system, whether it involves bacteria on nano-metal particles or the performance of electronic pastes. This analytical approach allows him to quickly grasp a client’s specific needs, unique selling points, and operational urgency.
Jack helps industrial partners reduce the cost and time to market for new products and processes. While supporting ECFP’s core strengths in cosmetics and food, he is expanding the partnership’s reach into high-value sectors including photonics and electronics.
