ECFP have a vacancy for an Impact Project Manager (UE08) or Impact Acceleration Associate (UE07)

A fixed-term 2 year postdoctoral position is available in the School of Physics and Astronomy (part of the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance, SUPA). In due course, it may be possible to extend this role beyond this timeframe.

We seek an applicant to help manage and deliver consultancy and research projects with commercial partners within the Edinburgh Complex Fluids Partnership. The post-holder will work towards enhancing our potential to deliver successful impact case studies and generate income through work with industry.

The appointee will be highly capable at performing experimental research in the laboratory using a range of techniques for characterizing complex fluids (e.g. light scattering, rheology, measurement of surface tension, charge measurement) and experienced in data analysis.

An appointee at the level of Impact Project Manager (UE08) will be able to demonstrate experience of managing projects involving a number of stakeholders with differing needs and be capable of generating new and successful initiatives. Ideally, they will also have experience of winning funding for collaborative projects with a value > £50K. Applicants without management experience can apply for the Impact Acceleration Associate post (UE07).

Salary for UE08: £38,896 - £46,414

Salary for UE07: £31,656 - £37,768
